About Kalvi.NEET
Kalvi.NEET is a free NEET Biology app. It takes the whole NCERT Class 11 and 12 Biology syllabus — 32 chapters — and breaks it into 478 short concepts. Each concept comes with the real NEET questions that tested it: 880 questions from NEET 2014 to 2026. It works in English and Tamil.
Who makes it
Kalvi.NEET is made by TVP Studios (Daruma), a studio in Anna Nagar, Chennai, founded by Thejaswin Venkatesan. Daruma is the studio’s brand; Kalvi.NEET is one of its education products. Interface design is by QUAD Intelligence.

Why it is free
In 2021 the Justice AK Rajan Committee studied NEET in Tamil Nadu. It found that 99% of students who wrote NEET in 2019–20 had taken coaching, that the average cost of coaching a student was ₹95,033, and that 95% of Tamil Nadu State Board students cannot afford NEET coaching. Source
Biology is half the NEET paper. Kalvi.NEET is built so that a student with a phone and no coaching can still learn it properly, concept by concept. It is free until NEET 2027: no credit card, no loans.
What is in the app today
- Cards mode: one concept at a time — the idea, why NEET asks it, then its real NEET questions.
- Read mode: the same concept explained in full, with tips for Class 11, Class 12 and repeaters.
- English and Tamil: switch language at any time.
- Start without signing in. Sign in with Google only if you want your progress saved.
- Report a problem on any question, so mistakes get fixed.
Every concept in Read mode is being reviewed by real teachers. Chemistry, Physics, mock tests and an AI tutor are planned but not available yet.
