Kalvi.NEET stores only what it needs to remember your progress. We do not show ads, sell your data, or track you inside the app.
Who we are
Kalvi.NEET is made by TVP Studios (Daruma), Old No. 49, New No. 3, U Block, 10th Street, Anna Nagar, Chennai 600 040, Tamil Nadu, India. We decide how your data is used, so we are responsible for it.
What we store
- Your Google sign-in: your name, email address and an account ID, given to us by Google when you sign in.
- Your learning progress: where you are in the course, which concepts you have finished, which NEET questions you answered and how many were correct, your streak, and your language setting.
- Your age group: whether you are 18 or older or under 18. For students under 18, the parent's or guardian's name, phone number or email, and when they agreed.
- Problems you report: the question, the reason you chose and any note you wrote.
- Class 10 waitlist (start.kalvi-neet.com): the name and phone number or email you type, used only to remind you once when you reach Class 11. Students under 18 should ask a parent before signing up; a parent can ask us to delete it at any time.
- On your device only: your theme, your place in Read mode and a backup copy of your progress, kept in your browser's storage.
What we use it for
To save your progress and show it on any device you sign in on, to fix questions you report, to send the one Class 11 reminder you asked for, and to meet the law on children's data. Nothing else.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no ad or analytics trackers inside the app.
- No selling or renting your data to anyone.
- No behavioural profiling of students under 18.
Our public landing page (start.kalvi-neet.com) uses Google Analytics to count visits. It is not used inside the app.
Students under 18
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires a parent's or guardian's agreement before we store a child's data. Students under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree when they first sign in. A parent can ask us at any time to see or delete their child's data, or withdraw their agreement, by writing to the contact below.
Who else handles it
- Supabase: stores the data and runs sign-in.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Google: confirms who you are when you sign in.
They process data only to run Kalvi.NEET. Access rules in our database let each student see only their own records.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your sign-in, progress, age record and reports straight away. Class 10 waitlist details are deleted after the reminder is sent, or sooner if you ask. Copies in our hosting provider's backups expire on their schedule.
Your rights
- See it: Profile menu → Download my data gives you everything we store, as a file.
- Delete it: Profile menu → Delete my account.
- Correct it or ask a question: write to us.
- Complain: write to our contact below. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
